VERMILLION, S.D.—University of South Dakota's Howling Pack increased to 1,002 members who combined to contribute $945,202 in an effort to promote and financially support Coyote athletics in 2014.

Both numbers are records for the group. In 2013, 800 members combined to contribute $526,000.

Those records are a credit to the hard work of so many, especially the Howling Pack staff and board, said Jon Schemmel, South Dakota's Associate Athletic Director for Development. Jessi McCloy (now at Ohio State), Chris Kassin and Erica Schilling are outstanding and have been instrumental in surpassing our aggressive goals. The Calling All Coyotes Auction was a game changer for us and our summer golf events were highly successful. We have the best fans and supporters who make all this possible and we look forward to continued growth in 2015.

The Calling All Coyotes event held in Sioux Falls last April raised more than $152,000 for student-athlete scholarships. More than 500 people attended the event, which included 25 student-athletes and 40 USD coaches and staff members. This year's event is slated for April 24 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
