VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota head strength and conditioning coach
Clete McLeod has named
Caleb Heim as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Heim will work directly with women's basketball, softball and football.

Heim served as a graduate assistant in the Nebraska strength and conditioning department, working with the Huskers' football team for nearly two years. Prior to his time in Nebraska, Heim spent two years at Southwest Minnesota State, first as an assistant strength and conditioning coach, then as the head strength and conditioning coach.

He served an internship with the strength and conditioning staff at South Carolina, helping with the Gamecock football program along with the men's and women's track & field and the men's soccer teams.

Heim graduated from Southwest Minnesota State and is on track to receive his master's degree from Nebraska. He has CSCS certification in addition to being CPR, AED and first aid certified. He is also a USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach, Level 1.
