BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara used a strong .324 hitting percentage in Friday's 25-16, 25-20, 25-17 sweep over South Dakota during the CSU Bakersfield Tournament.
Lindsey Ruddins led the Gauchos with 22 kills against just one error, an impressive .488 hitting percentage, in a match that saw the winners total just 10 attack errors.
Hayley Dotseth led the Coyotes with 11 kills, though she was the only one in double figures in the match.
Taylor Wilson added six kills and
Jenna Wagemester five, however, the Coyotes had a hitting percentage as a team of only .170.
Madison Jurgens contributed 21 assists and 11 digs while
Anne Rasmussen had 13 digs.
South Dakota, falling to 6-4 with its third straight loss, faces Montana and host CSU Bakersfield on Saturday.
