VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota offensive lineman Isaac Erbes and Kian Rexroat-Potts along with linebacker Jakari Starling earned recognition on HERO Sports' FCS Freshman All-America Team announced Tuesday. Erbes earned first-team honors while Rexroat-Potts and Starling received honorable mention.

Erbes of Urbandale, Iowa, and Rexroat-Potts of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, started all 12 games for a unit that led the MVFC in passing and had three 300-yard rushing performances. Erbes started at right tackle and was named MVFC Lineman of the Week after helping USD post 522 yards in a win against Indiana State. Rexroat-Potts served as the Coyotes' starting center.

Starling of Riviera Beach, Florida, started at outside linebacker and finished as South Dakota's third-leading tackler. His 70 stops included one sack and four for loss. Starling also broke up four passes and was credited with two quarterback hurries.

All three USD honorees redshirted a season ago. They will return to lead a team that won two of its last three games including a 24-21 victory against then-No. 5 South Dakota State in the season finale.
