Kellee Willer have earned a spot on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Association's NCAA Division I Scholar All-West Region teams.
Mitchell, a native of Lee's Summit, Missouri, made the Scholar All-West Region second team. She was second on the team in points scored this season with 17. She tallied six goals during the year, including game-winners against Drake, Wyoming and Western Illinois, and dished out five assists. Mitchell was also named to the USCA's All-West Region team, earned All-Summit League second team honors and a spot on the Academic All-Summit League team. A mathematics major, Mitchell holds a 3.66 cumulative grade-point average.
Willer, hailing from Fort Collins, Colorado, was named to the Scholar All-West Region third team. She led the team in points scored with 18, tallying eight goals and handing out a pair of assists. A three-time all-Summit League honoree, Willer picked up first team honors for the first time this season. She recorded the 14th hat trick in USD history with her trio of goals at Oral Roberts. Willer also earned a spot on both the CoSIDA Academic All-District team and the Academic All-Summit League team this season. An elementary and special education major, Willer graduated this month with a 3.97 cumulative grade-point average.
To be eligible for USCA's Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average above a 3.30, have started more than 50 percent of all games, be significant contributors on the pitch, be a junior or senior academically, and be nominated by their head coach.
