SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The South Dakota women's golf team wrapped up the inaugural Gunrock Invitational Tuesday led by
Laerke Jensen. The freshman totaled 224 strokes to place tied for 22
nd.

Junior
Katie Bartlett was the top Coyote scorer on Tuesday, totaling 76 shots in the final tour of the course. She totaled two birdies as part of her 4-over-par in the final round and concluded with 231 strokes to tie for 40
th.

Senior
Lexi Petersen tallied 230 shots over the three rounds at Del Paso Country Club to place tied for 36
th. Freshmen
Emma Sabbagh and
Megan Munneke closed out the Coyote scorers with 233 and 243 strokes, respectively. Junior
Jamie Benedict competed as an individual in the event and totaled 271 shots.

Sacramento State claimed the team title with 859 strokes over three rounds to finish 5-under-par. The Coyotes totaled 918 strokes and in 10
th place. Corinne Viden of Sacramento State claimed individual medalist honors with her 8-under-par 208.

Del Paso Country Club, home of the 2015 U.S. Senior Open, played to a par 72 and 6,224 yards.

South Dakota has nearly a month break before returning to action at the Fresno State Classic April 1-2.
