BOULDER CITY, Nev. – South Dakota senior
Tommy Vining sits in a tie for fifth place of the Jackrabbit Invitational after two rounds at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The senior shot an even-par 72 in the first round and followed with a 3-over-par 75 in the second round.

He tops a Coyote squad that is tied for seventh place with 608 strokes over the two rounds. Boulder Creek Golf Club is playing 7,402 yards and to a par 72.

Vining played a steady hand on the course, ranking third in the field with 26 pars while tallying four birdies.

Junior
Scott Fudenberg is tied for 18
th after rounds of 74 and 76 to total 150 strokes. Sophomore
Tate Arends and junior
Matt Tolan enter round three tied for 43
rd and 47
th, respectively. Arends totaled 155 strokes while Tolan had 156.

The final point scorer for the Coyotes is sophomore
Jacob Michel with 159 shots.

South Dakota has three individuals in the field led by freshman
Justin Kolb in a tie for 47
th. He shot a 2-over-par 74 in his first round as part of his 156 shots for the day. Freshman
Ben Hicks is tied for 74
th with 161 shots while junior
Hunter Paugh is tied for 86
th with 175 strokes.

James Madison owns the team lead with 578 shots over two rounds. The Dukes' Nacho Montero owns the individual lead with 135 shots at 9-under-par.
