Women's Golf Selected Fifth in Summit Preseason Poll

WGOLF: Preseason Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The South Dakota women's golf team was picked to finish fifth in the Summit League, the league office announced on Wednesday. Redshirt-sophomore Julia Hall was tabbed golfer to watch.

Denver cumulated 64 points and eight first-place votes to secure the number one spot in the rankings. Oral Roberts (53), South Dakota State (49) and North Dakota State (48) rounded out the top-five.

The Coyotes are led by Emma Sabbagh and Hall who shot an average of 77.2 and 77.4, respectively, during the fall season. Sabbagh placed in the top-five once while Hall placed in the top-10 once as well. Sabbagh shot a season-low 71 during the third round of The Johnie Imes Invite while Hall shot a 72 during the second round of The Johnie Imes invite.

USD finished fourth at the Summit League Championships last season while Sabbagh tied for 12th with a +21 score.

The 'Yotes start the spring season on March 2 at the Gunrock Invite in Davis California.
