BROOKINGS, S.D.—South Dakota senior
Zack Anderson leaped the sixth-best high jump bar in the nation to highlight seven Coyote wins at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational inside the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Anderson cleared 7 feet, 3 ¼ inches, to capture the high jump and move to sixth in the nation this season. Anderson had a clean day with three first-attempt makes. The height is a centimeter shy of his indoor best from a year ago. Sophomore
Jack Durst finished runner-up with a first-attempt make of 6-10 ¾. Junior
Blake Vande Hoef placed fourth.
True freshman
Brithton Senior clocked a blistering fast time of 7.82 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles. The season-best time moved him to second in USD program history behind his coach
Teivaskie Lewin (7.77s). It also ranks 17th in the nation this season. Classmate
Hugo Morvan took fifth in 8.20 seconds to tie for seventh in USD history.
The Coyotes swept the first six spots in the women's pole vault led by redshirt-junior
Makiah Hunt's indoor best height of 13-8 ½. The height moves Hunt into a tie for fifth on USD's indoor charts. It also ranks 13th in the NCAA this year. Behind Hunt, three Coyotes all cleared 13-2 ½. Senior

Deidra Marrison took third and freshman

Josephina Wright were fifth and sixth, respectively.
On the men's side, senior
Chris Nilsen posted the top mark of 18-2 ½. Classmate

Ethan Bray placed fourth.

Callie Henrich swept the shot put and weight throw competitions. Henrich captured the shot put in 47-6 ½ and was the top collegian in the weight throw in 60-4. Senior
Emilee Shostrom was the third collegian in the weight throw and
Meredith Clark took fourth in the shot put.
In a neck-and-neck finish, Coyote junior
Abby Ripperda came out on top in the 3,000 meters. She crossed the finish line in 9:58.63, two tenths of a second ahead of SDSU's Anna Donnay. The time was two seconds off her personal best set back in December. Senior
Kianna Stewart took third and junior
Jonna Bart was fifth.
Earlier in the day, Bart took third in the mile in 5:01.14 while Ripperda followed in fifth.
Senior
Tasheka Gordon posted a pair of top-three finishes in the sprints. She clocked 7.71 seconds for second in the 60 meters and 25.57 seconds for third in the 200 meters. Finishing behind Gordon in the 200 meters were senior
Carmen Bermudez and freshman
Hannah Young.
Senior
Britny Kerr placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 38-8 ¼. She also took fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.80 seconds.

Madison Jochum finished runner-up in the 600 meters with a time of 1:37.06.

Hannah Draayer and junior
Danielle Thompson placed second and third, respectively, in the 400 meters. Draayer clocked 57.79 seconds.
Joining junior
Holly Gerberding on the Coyotes' runner-up 4x400-meter relay were Draayer, Jochum and Thompson. The quartet clocked 3:56.59.
Freshman
Will Stupalsky tallied a pair of top-five finishes in the jumps. He took third in the triple jump with a leap of 44-5 and fifth in the long jump.
