SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three South Dakota track and field student-athletes have earned Academic all-Summit League honors, the conference office announced Tuesday.
 
Marleen Mülla has earned her second outdoor academic all-conference honor for the Coyote women, and Bennett Schwenn (third outdoor honor) and Piercze Marshall (first outdoor honor) received the honor for the Coyote men.
 
Mülla is one of the nation's top ranked pole vaulters, won the Summit League title in the event, and is competing at the NCAA Championships this week. She accomplished these athletic feats while maintaining her 3.93 GPA in Art.
 
Schwenn is now a three-time outdoor academic all-Summit League student-athlete. He maintained a 4.0 GPA in Finance and was one of the top long and triple jump athletes in the conference this season. He earned all-conference honors in the long jump and placed fourth in the triple jump at the conference meet.
 
Marshall earned his first outdoor academic all-conference honor this season after a breakout campaign. At the Summit League Championships, he out-kicked nearly everyone in the 10,000-meters, crossing the finish line in second place. He also competed in the 5,000-meters, where he placed 11^th overall. Marshall has a 3.93 GPA in Mathematics and received Academic all-Summit League during the cross country season this past fall.
 
The top 15 eligible men's and women's student-athletes voted on by the conference's Sports Information Directors (SIDs) and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FARs) are named to the academic all-conference teams. Voters consider both the student-athlete's academic and athletic success.
