Dr. Nathan Skelley, the new team physician for Coyote athletics, is a guest on this week's "YoteCast," the official podcast of Coyote athletics hosted by John Thayer.
Dr. Skelley discusses how he got interested in the profession, his work with professional organizations around Boston during his training at Harvard Medical School, and why he decided to make the move to South Dakota. Dr. Skelley also talks about his role as head team surgeon for the Coyotes and the team of doctors and athletic trainers that support the student-athletes.
Â
The episode starts as it typically does with athletic director
David Herbster. He and Thayer discuss the recently announced Summit League basketball schedule, the capacity for fans inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center, and next week's South Dakota high school football championship games to take place inside the DakotaDome. Also, what has his involvement been in piecing non-conference basketball schedules together and how much flexibility exists for makeup games?
