NEW ORLEANS—South Dakota's men's and women's pole vault squads remain tops in the nation in the latest USTFCCCA rankings released Monday.
In the overall USTFCCCA team rankings, the Coyote men dropped one spot outside the top-25 this week to No. 26. USD's women are No. 56 this week.
The men's vault squad of
Chris Nilsen,
Ethan Bray,
Nick Johnson and
Kaleb Ellis have an average height of 17-8. The women's pole vault squad of
Helen Falda,
Landon Kemp,
Makiah Hunt and
Deidra Marrison have an average height of 13-10 ½.
The Coyote men's high jump group remains No. 2 in the country with an average height of 6-11 ¾. Senior
Zack Anderson leads the way with his height of 7-3 ¼, while sophomore
Jack Durst leaped a season-best 7-1 this weekend at the Iowa State Classic.
South Dakota also ranks in the top-20 for the women's weight throw (No. 15) and women's shot put (No. 16) with junior
Callie Henrich leading both groups. The Coyotes are No. 16 in the men's 60-meter hurdles, with freshman
Brithton Senior tying the school record in the event this weekend with a time of 7.77 seconds.
The Coyotes compete at the Nebraska Tune-Up this Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska, in the final regular season meet of the indoor season.
