PALM VALLEY, Ariz. -- Senior
Matt Tolan shot a low round of 69 on Sunday for South Dakota to help the Yotes move up one spot to eighth heading into day three of the Loyola Intercollegiate.

Tolan (73-69 – 142) shot his second-lowest score of the season to move him into a tie for 11
th place after two rounds. Drake overtook Loyola Marymount for first place after shooting three strokes lower than Loyola during round two to take a one stroke lead into the final day.

Delaware's Roberto Nieves and Air Force's Joseph Crisostomo are tied for first on the player leaderboard with a score of 138 heading into the final day. Nieves shot a 71 on day two while Crisostomo shot a 69.

In addition to Tolan,
Tate Arends shot a 73 to follow up his 70 for a total of 143 to tie for 16
th place after two days.
Ben Hicks is tied for 28
th place after shooting a 70 on the first day besting his day one score of 70, by five strokes, to total 145.

Justin Kolb and
Scott Fudenberg round out the Coyote card on day two. Kolb (76-74 – 150) shot a 74 to tie for 68
th place heading into the final day. Fudenberg bested his day one score of 80 by shooting a 74 on day two for a total score of 154. Fudenberg sits tied for 96
th place heading into day three.

John Fischer III (73-76 – 149) competed as an individual for USD and shot a day two score of 76 to sit tied for 60
th place.

South Dakota finishes up action in Arizona on Monday with the third and final round.
