05.01.2026

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.— South Dakota men's golf Joe Rohlwing has been named Second Team All-Summit League Golfer, the conference announced Friday morning.

Rohlwing turned in a consistent and record-setting campaign for the Coyotes, leading the team with an even-par scoring mark across 18 rounds and six events. He posted a 71.56 stroke average on the year, highlighted by 11 rounds at or below par and four top-10 finishes, including one top-five showing.

Through three seasons with the Coyotes, Joe Rohlwing has developed into one of the most consistent and accomplished golfers in program history, highlighted by his place at the top of South Dakota's record book. Rohlwing has competed in 48 career rounds, totaling 3,457 strokes for a 72.02 career scoring average — currently the best in program history.

The junior delivered one of the most memorable performances in program history at the La Tour Intercollegiate in Mathews, Louisiana on October 21st. Joe set a school-record of 62 strokes (-10) in the final round. The mark not only set the lowest round in Coyote history by total strokes but topped the previous record of 64 (-7) by two strokes.

Rohlwing continued to show his scoring ability throughout the season with multiple rounds in the 60s, including a pair of 68s (-4) at the Loyola Invitational and additional under-par efforts across both the fall and spring schedules.

Through his first 48 career rounds, Rohlwing owns a 72.02 scoring average with 3,457 total strokes, establishing himself as one of the top performers in the Summit League.
