Cruisin’ with the Coyotes coming to local communities for Dakota Days

GEN: Cruisin' w/ the Yotes

VERMILLION, S.D.—A second "Cruisin' with the Coyotes" event is set to take place Saturday, Oct. 3, as part of a Dakota Days celebration week and will roll through Vermillion, Yankton, Gayville, Wakonda, Viborg, Centerville and Beresford.

Vermillion Ford and 5 Star Communications are partnering with USD to help connect Coyote fans in local communities. Similar to the first "Cruisin' with the Coyotes' in July, the event involves our beloved mascot, Charlie Coyote, parading and spreading good cheer in a Vermillion Ford vehicle. Members of Dakota Days royalty are also part of the motorcade, and 5 Star Communications will follow along in its branded Mustang to conduct live remotes in each town.

"Although we are not able to host the annual Dakota Days parade, we are excited to partner with Vermillion Ford and 5 Star Communications to bring Coyote spirit to Vermillion and surrounding communities," said USD Athletic Director David Herbster. "During a time when Coyote Nation is typically together celebrating, we are looking forward to bringing the celebration to you."

"This is a fun opportunity to partner with the University of South Dakota to roll through area communities and be a part of the Dakota Days excitement," added Donny Stewart of Vermillion Ford.
