JONESBORO. Ark. – The South Dakota men's golf program put together another solid performance at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at the RidgePointe Country Club. The Yotes recorded a three-round score of 899 to tie with Missouri State for eighth place.
After shooting an opening round of 312 the Yotes finished the tournament strong with round two score of 294 and final round score of 293. USD jumped two spots with their final round score.
Junior
Max Schmidtke recorded his third straight top-20 finish tying for 19
th place after carding a three round score of 221 (76-70-75). Senior
Ian Johnston finished a spots behind Schmidtke tying for 35
th place with scores of 75-78-72 to card a three round score of 225.
After carding a first round score of 81, junior
Ryan Neff fired off rounds of 75 and 72 to tie for 48
th place with a total score of 228. Junior
Hunter Rebrovich tied for 52
nd place with scores of 83-72-74 for a total score of 229. Rounding out the scoring for the Yotes was
Logan Hamak who tied for 90
th place. Hamak recorded a total score of 244 (80-77-87).
INSIDE THE SCORECARD
- All five Yotes improved on their first round scores in rounds two and three.
- Neff recorded a season-low round of 72 in the final round Tuesday.
- Rebrovich also recorded a season-low round of 72 in the second round of action Monday.
- A Yote has recorded at least one eagle in all but one tournament this season.
