He also visits with senior pole vaulter Kaleb Ellis about his Coyote career and why he had to put his pole vault career on pause. He's the only athlete on USD's roster who competed at the conference meet the last time USD hosted (2016) and who will compete again this week.

Thayer is in his eighth year with the Coyote Sports Network by Learfield IMG College. He moved into the play-by-play role for Coyote football and men's basketball this season after spending seven years as the voice of Coyote women's basketball and a sideline reporter for football.
