Twelve Coyotes earn College Sports Communicators Academic all-District

VERMILLION, S.D. ­— Twelve South Dakota track and field and cross country athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic all-District team for their performances in competition and in the classroom this year.
 
Six Coyote men and six Coyote women earned CSC Academic all-District honors with two Coyote women advancing to CSC Academic all-America voting.
 
Jaden Damiano, Beau Karst, Landon Olson, Bennett Schwenn, Evan Janzen, and Andrew Atwood earned all-District honors for the Coyote men. Marleen Mülla, Delaney Smith, Bre Dunn, Maddie Olson, Geneva Timmerman, and Anna Willis received honors for the Coyote women. Mülla and Willis have advanced to the all-American voting.
 
Student-Athletes must be a sophomore academically and athletically and to hold a 3.50 Grade Point Average (on a 4.0 scale) and are nominated by communications directors. To be eligible athletically, student-athletes in track and field/cross country must have a top 50 individual performance at a 2025 NCAA Regional Meet (cross country) or a top 50 regional ranking in a single event (indoor or outdoor).
 
Mülla and Willis are up for CSC Academic all-America voting. Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-Americans will be announced on July 14 (men) and July 15 (women).
