South Dakota Senior Associate AD for External Affairs Joe Thuente is pleased to announce the hiring of Adam Riley to the Director of Ticket Sales and Operations position. Riley returns to the position he held from 2019 to 2021.

"It is not often you get the opportunity to hire someone with the experience that Adam has," said Thuente. "We are thrilled to bring back someone who knows exactly what is takes to be successful in this position. I look forward to working with Adam to optimize our ticketing processes and improve the fan experience at our games. I think our fans will enjoy working with him."

Riley most recently served as a custodial operations specialist for USD. Before returning to USD, Riley worked as a customer care representative at C&B Operations. He handled out-bound calls and helped plan and implement call campaigns.

Prior to working at South Dakota in 2019, Riley spent time as the ticket services representative at the University of Wyoming. He handled out-bound sales and served as the ticket operations manager for women's basketball. Riley and his office exceeded group ticket goals for football and men's and women's basketball. Riley also has experience with Creighton and the Sioux Falls Canaries assisting in season ticket sales, renewals, and various gameday operations.

"I want to thank Jarren Duffy and Joe Thuente for giving me the opportunity to return to the Coyote ticket office," said Riley. "My family and I have grown to call Vermillion and USD our home for the past three-plus years, and we are looking forward to many more to come. I am excited and ready to get to work with our athletic staff members to continue to build off the continued success of Coyote athletics. Go Yotes!"

Born in Alliance, Nebraska, Riley graduated from South Dakota State in 2016 with his bachelor's degree in sports, recreation and park management. Riley and his wife, Sara, have one daughter, Payton, and currently reside in Vermillion.
