YoteCast featuring Leanne Williamson

Fourth season of YoteCast has arrived!

08.25.2022

The first episode of YoteCast, the official podcast of South Dakota athletics hosted by the voice of the Coyotes, John Thayer, is live. Athletic director David Herbster, volleyball coach Leanne Williamson and Jay Elsen of Midco Sports are the guests. Each help kickoff the start of the 2022-23 academic year.

Herbster talks summer fun, introduces new staff members throughout the department and touches on everyone's hot topic – South Dakota's new alcohol policy. He also talks about the Summit League's new ticketing policy for the Summit League basketball tournaments and why you should have the morning of Oct. 18 circled on your calendar.

Coyote volleyball is fresh off its third Summit League Tournament title in four seasons. Coach Williamson previews this weekend's home tournament that includes fourth-ranked Louisville, Northern Kentucky and Missouri. She hints at new players, scheduling and the growth of the fans in the stands at USD.

Finally, Elsen offers a position-by-position preview of Coyote football, which begins its season next weekend against Kansas State of the Big 12 down in Manhattan, Kansas. John and Jay talk about the front half of an incredibly tough schedule as South Dakota goes for its second-straight bid to the postseason.

YoteCast is available across a variety of platforms – Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Stitcher – every Thursday afternoon. Subscribe on your favorite platform so you never miss an episode.
