VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men's basketball will be hosting an open practice on Saturday, Oct. 14, announced by head coach
Eric Peterson Thursday.
Before the top-25 football matchup between No.10/17 South Dakota and No. 23/20 Youngstown State inside the DakotaDome on Saturday at 1 p.m., the Coyote men's basketball team will be opening up practice for fans to get a peek of this season's squad.
The team will be practicing from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday morning in the main arena inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Fans are encouraged to stop over from Coyote Alley ahead of kickoff to check out the men's basketball team. The team will be signing autographs following the conclusion of practice.
South Dakota opens the season at home on Nov. 6 and hosts Mount Marty inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. They return to the Sanford Pentagon to take on the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 10.
The Summit League season tips off on Dec. 29 with a road game at North Dakota State. South Dakota will host Omaha on Dec. 31 in its first home Summit game. Rivalry matchups with South Dakota State are scheduled for Jan. 20 in Vermillion and Feb. 3 in Brookings.
Season tickets for Coyote basketball are on sale now. Fans can purchase a combined men's and women's season ticket for $300 or a men's season ticket for $200. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking
