NEW ORLEANS—South Dakota women's cross country jumped to No. 8 in the Midwest region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings.
South Dakota captured the program's sixth Summit League team title and first since 2018. The Coyotes placed four women on the all-Summit League first team with seventh-year senior

Alexis Pagel was the Coyotes' fifth scoring runner to help secure the team title.
The Coyotes will tackle the NCAA Midwest Regional on Nov. 10 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The program's highest finish at the regional meet is fifth in 2017.
