Timmerman earns Top 10 finish, Yotes take 4th, 6th at Summit League Championships

ASHLAND, Neb. – Geneva Timmerman earned a top 10 finish for the South Dakota women's cross country team at the Summit League Championships Saturday morning.

Timmerman ran 20:46.3 for 6th overall, earning all-Summit League first team honors, leading the Yotes to a fourth-place finish with 111 points. Taylor Byerley was second across the line for the Yotes in 21:27.8, good for 23rd. The third Coyote to finish the race was Mariah Fenske in 21:41.6 for 29th.

The South Dakota men placed sixth at the Championships with 147 points. Natnael Kifle was USD's top finisher, running 24:37.19 to place 22nd. Isaac Ochoa took 23rd overall in 24:37.32. Piercze Marshall was the third Yote across the finish line, placing 36th in 25:11.30.

In the team races, the South Dakota State men and the North Dakota women claimed the titles. Individually, SDSU's Cody Larson and UND's Jadyn Keeler claimed Summit League Titles.
 
Up next, the Coyotes will run at the NCAA Midwest Regionals in Columbia, Missouri on Nov. 14.
