NEW ORLEANS—South Dakota seventh-year senior
Abby Ripperda was one of 225 women from 99 different programs to earn All-Region honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Ripperda placed 25th at the at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a time of 21:20.8 for 6,000 meters. This marks the second time Ripperda's earned all-region honors in her career. She previously garnered all-region accolades in 2019.
Ripperda was one of three representatives from the Summit League, joined by North Dakota's Yonca Kutluk and South Dakota State's Leah Hisken.
South Dakota's had three women garner five all-Midwest region honors in cross country.
