Hamak Finishes In Top-20 at Advance Partners Intercollegiate

The South Dakota men's golf team concluded its first tournament of the spring with a 15th place finish at the Advance Partners Intercollegiate in Palm City, Florida. The Coyotes shot a 305 in the final round and brought their three-day total to 912. USD got a solid performance from sophomore Logan Hamak who competed as an individual at this event.
 
Hamak rounded out his tournament with a one-over par 73 in round three. His two birdies on the day came in back-to-back fashion at holes one and two. He had six total through the three rounds. Hamak's 54-hole score of 220 (74-73-73) placed him in a tie for 18th place. It was the first time Hamak had a top-20 individual finish in his Coyote career.
 
Max Schmidtke and Ben Hicks tied for 58th place for the Coyotes with 227 total scores. Schmditke finished his event with a four-over par 76. He had three birdies on the day including back-to-back birdies on holes five and six and six total at the tournament. Hicks completed the tournament with a six-over par 78 in round three. His one birdie on the day came on the par-three 12th hole and added to his team-lead of 12 birdies at the Advance Partners Intercollegiate. It was also tied for the seventh-most birdies among all players.
 
Bryce Hammer posted his best score of the tournament on the final day of action. Hammer had four birdies on the day with two of them coming on holes one and two. He had six total throughout the tournament. Hammer ended in a tie for 66th place with a 228 total score (76-79-73).
 
Hunter Rebrovich scored an 81 on the last day. He carded a birdie on the par-five 17th hole and had 10 birdies during the event. Rebrovich's three-round total of 234 (79-74-81) placed him in a tie for 86th place.
 
Nick LaMotte recorded a six-over par 78 in the final day. His two birdies on Tuesday came on the front nine and added to his total birdies of eight at this event. LaMotte's 235 total score (79-78-78) placed him in a tie for 91st place.
 
South Dakota will get back on the course at the end of the month at the Loyola Intercollegiate. The three-day event begins on Sunday, February 26, and takes place in Goodyear, Arizona.
