The Coyotes
South Dakota has won its last seven games against Kansas City dating back to the 2012-13 season. Grace Larkins, a lock for all-Summit League honors, recorded her seventh double-double of the season Thursday in a 77-63 win at Oral Roberts. Carley Duffney scored 16 second-half points in that game and South Dakota, the top three-point shooting team in the Summit, was 13-of-26 from beyond the arc.

Larkins is trying to become the first Summit League player to finish in the top five for points, rebounds, assists and steals. She is top three in all four categories currently. Duffney has averaged 15.5 points and five rebounds since being inserted into the starting lineup 10 games ago.

The Roos
Kansas City is trying to get healthy ahead of postseason play. Leading scorer E'Lease Stafford missed four games before returning Thursday at South Dakota State. Second-leading scorer Sanaa' St. Andre, who did not play against USD in December, returned to the court three games ago. Point guard Rain Green was hurt last Saturday and did not play in Brookings Thursday. Dani Winslow, the team's leading rebounder at 11 per game, left the team earlier this season.

It all adds up to a tough start for Coach Dionnah Jackson-Durrett, a St. Louis native who served as Texas Associate Head Coach last season. She replaced Jacie Hoyt who left for Oklahoma State last year and took all-Summit guard Naomie Alnatas with her.
