The University of South Dakota athletics department has partnered with Vet Tix to provide free event tickets for those that have selflessly served our nation.
Vet Tix is a program that provides free tickets to all military members and veterans of the U.S. military, as well as immediate family members of families of service members killed in action. The 1st Tix program, powered by Vet Tix, provides free tickets to currently serving and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, and 911 dispatchers.
South Dakota athletics is working with Vet Tix and 1st Tix to provide 50 complimentary tickets to Coyote home athletic events, beginning with men's and women's basketball this season. Ticket availability began with the USD-SDSU game in January and continues with every subsequent basketball game held at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center this year. Fans can expect to see football and volleyball tickets available in the fall as well.
Vet Tix provides tickets to events that reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories, and encourage service members and veterans to stay engaged with local communities and American life. Tickets will be distributed to veterans, currently serving members of the military and their families, and first responders via VetTix.org and 1stTix.org. Military members, veterans, and first responders interested in the program can sign up at their respective sites. Tickets to several events throughout the region and the nation are available.
