Devon Bright served four straight points to bring the Chippewa out to an early 4-0 lead over the Yotes. Sealock had back-to-back kills to bring USD back within two, but Central Michigan would not let up. A kill from Kasson would give CMU its biggest lead of the set at 10-5. The two sides traded points until back-to-back kills from
Evelyn Diederich tied the set at 19-19.
Laura Petterson subbed in to serve for the Yotes, and her first service ace would give them their first lead of set two. A block by Harms and
Avery Van Hook gave USD its biggest lead of the set at 22-19 and forced a Central Michigan timeout. The Chippewa scored first out of the timeout, but it wasn't enough and Harms' sixth kill secured the second set victory. South Dakota took set three and ended the weekend with three straight wins.
