Abrielle Jirele received the Summit League Women's Cross Country Peak Performer of the Week honor presented by TicketSmarter for the period ended Sept. 24.
Jirele picks up the honor for the first time this season and second time of her career.
A native of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Jirele was the top Summit League runner on Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational with a 16th-place finish in a field of 202. She completed the 6,000-meter Les Bolstad course in a time of 21:41.9. It's the fastest mark by a Coyote on the course in the program's Division I era.
Jirele and the Coyotes toe the line at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois, on Oct. 13.
