Stillwater, Minn. — The South Dakota men's golf team climbed up the rankings concluding their third and final round of golf on the Tommie Invitational tournament.
The Coyotes ended round three with a stroke count of 293, positioning them in fourth place overall.
Cole Witherow made a large contribution to the jump in position as he carded an eagle on hole No. 4.
Max Schmidtke also carded an eagle in round three, his total round score coming to a 74.
Cole Witherow tied for second place overall amongst 62 other golfers from highly competitive teams after putting up a low round scoring during day two of 70. In total, Witherow had 7 birdies on the tournament.
