SOUTH DAKOTA WRAPS UP HOME TOURNAMENT

Homer, Neb. — The South Dakota men's golf team finished their Throw Down Up Top tournament at the Landmand Golf Club, a course that spans two miles across the dunes of Nebraska.
 
South Dakota (A)
Cole Witherow (So.), had three days of outstanding plays of golf where he carded round scores of 69, 74, and 72. Witherow was -4 on the whole tournament, carding a total of 13 birdies overall. He ranked very high amongst the 72 golfers as Witherow tied for second overall.
 
Teammate, Max Schmidtke (Gr.), saw a huge comeback throughout his play and shared seventh place overall with two other golfers. He ended the tournament with an eagle on hole No. 17, carding a round score of 68 (-5).
 
As a team, the Coyotes put up a round score of 284 (-8), their new low round score on the season. The Yotes finished in fifth place amongst the 12 competing schools.

The Yotes put up a low round score for the tournament by carding a 296. The Coyotes totaled 16 birdies today, where Ryan Seevers scored an eagle on hole No. 11. The Yotes take 11th place at the end of the tournament.
