SIOUX FALLS, SD – South Dakota women's tennis player
Bea Havlickova has been selected by the Summit League to participate in the ITA Conference Masters Championships which will take place November 7-10 in Rome, Georgia.
Havlickova, a senior from Louny, Czech Republic, is a two-time All-Summit League First Team selection and holds a 7-4 singles record this fall during competition.
"I am so proud of Bea for being selected by the Summit League coaches to represent the league at the ITA Conference Masters," coach
Brett Barnett said. "She has had a great fall season and has accomplished so much during her career at USD."
Havlickova holds a career singles record of 55-42 which puts her fifth all-time in the Division I era for singles wins in a career at South Dakota.Â
"This is great for her and the program as this is the first national level event we have ever qualified for," said Barnett. "She has worked hard for this and is ready to represent USD and try to qualify for the NCAA Championships."
The ITA Conference Masters Championships will have a singles draw of 32 individuals of which four players (semifinalists) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships.
