VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota women's tennis student-athlete Selena Bird was named to the Summit League Women's Tennis Academic All-League Team, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. 

Bird earned the recognition following a standout senior season for the Coyotes both on the court and in the classroom. The senior posted a 17-10 singles record during the 2026 campaign and earned All-Summit League honors after consistently competing near the top of South Dakota's lineup. 

In the classroom, Bird maintained a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in psychology. She was one of the league's top student athletes this season combining academic excellence with strong on-court success throughout the year.
