VERMILLION, S.D.—Entry registration is now open for the 2024 Dan Lennon Invitational high school track and field meet inside the DakotaDome this spring.
 
The Class A competition is on Monday, March 18, while Class B will compete on Tuesday, March 19. The action kicks off with field events at 11:30 a.m. both days. Running events begin at noon on Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track.
 
The name Dan Lennon is synonymous with track and field in South Dakota collegiate circles. A longtime Coyote track and field coach, Lennon organized the first-ever USD Invitational in 1949. It was renamed the Dan Lennon Invitational in 1975 and has become one of the premier high school track and field meets in the state today.
