South Dakota is set to host the South Dakota Challenge at the Lillibridge Track Complex and Gottsleben Field in Vermillion, South Dakota. The competition is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday with a forecasted high of 83 and sunny.

The Coyotes
South Dakota was picked second for both men and women in the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field preseason poll. The Coyote men are coming off their second-straight Summit League indoor crown.

The Coyotes are home at Lillibridge for the second-straight weekend. The USD Early Bird led to plenty of impressive performances by the Coyotes, including three athletes that garnered the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week accolades.
Gen Hirata picks up the honor for the second-straight week, vaulting a season-best 14-3 ¼ (4.35m) to move to fifth in the nation.
Erin Kinney clocked a wind-aided 11.22 seconds to win the 100 meters.
Bennett Schwenn jumped a personal best of 25-1 ¾ (7.66m) to lead the Summit and rank 26th in the nation. In addition, senior
Jacy Pulse set a Lillibridge Track record in the 400-meter hurdles with a clocking of 58.43 seconds.

The Competition
In addition to the Coyotes, squads competing at the South Dakota Challenge will include Augustana, Buena Vista, Concordia (Neb.), Dordt, Mount Marty, South Dakota State and Wayne State.
