Summit League Peak Performers Danii Anglin and Bennett Schwenn

Anglin, Schwenn capture final Summit weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—South Dakota junior Danii Anglin and sophomore Bennett Schwenn have been named the Summit League Peak Performers of the Week presented by TicketSmarter for the period ended May 5.
 
Anglin, hailing from Spring Mount, Jamaica, garners the honor for the first time this spring and the fifth time of her career. Anglin cleared a new Summit-leading mark of 5-10 (1.78m) to win the high jump at the USD Tune-Up Friday evening. Her height ranks 46th nationally this spring.
 
Schwenn, a native of Milbank, South Dakota, collects his third career weekly honor from the league. Schwenn leaped a wind-legal personal record of 25-3 ¼ (7.70m) to win the long jump at the USD Tune-Up on Friday afternoon. He improved his league leading mark and ranks 44th nationally. He moved to second in program history with mark. Schwenn surpassed 25 feet for the third time this outdoor season, with all three occurrences coming at Lillibridge Track Complex and Gottsleben Field.
 
South Dakota heads to the Twin Cities for the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships this Thursday through Saturday.
