  • Averaging just under 200 rushing yards per game (194.5), the mark sits 13th in the FCS and fourth in the MVFC.
  • Led by Charles Pierre Jr. who averages over 100 yards on the ground per game (109.5), has led the team in rushing in both games this year.

DOMINANT DEFENSE

  • LB Gary Bryant III leads the defense with his 19 tackles this season, leading the way in tackles in both games so far this season.
  • Nick Gaes leads the team in tackles for loss (3.0) and sacks (2.0).
INDIVIDUAL ACCOLADES & MILESTONES
  • Keyondray Jones-Logan still holds the longest kickoff returned for a touchdown in the FCS this season and just one of three to do it in 2024, earning him MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week (Sept. 2).

  • Travis Theis continues to move up the USD rushing record book, entering the week: second in carries (571), fourth in rushing yards (2,601), and T10th in rushing touchdowns (22).

INSIDE THE PORTLAND STATE SERIES

PORTLAND STATE QUICK HITS
  • Portland State looks for their first win of the season (0-2) under 10th year head coach Bruce Barnum.
  • The schedule is not easy for the Vikings, facing six of the top nine teams in the preseason polls on their schedule this season.
