Vermillion, S.D. — The South Dakota men's golf team will head to Des Moines, Iowa for the Zach Johnson Invitational being held September 23-24.
The two-day tournament will consist of three 18-hole rounds of golf. There will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. each morning. The first day will conclude with rounds one and two, the final day will host round three.
The tournament will be held at the Glen Oaks Country Club, where par is set at 71 and the yardage totals at 6,950.

The Yotes will bring a total of 6 golfers to this meet where they can play five athletes and count four of the scores. There will be one individual golfer this tournament. Below is the what the Coyotes starting lineup will look like:

The Coyotes are coming off an open week after making the trek to Madison, Ill. Sep. 9-10, where they are able to focus on resting, recovering, and perfecting their swing. The men placed 7
th place at the Derek Dolenc tournament, where
Max Schmidtke played three impressive rounds of golf.
Max Schmidtke was the no. 1 golfer for the Yotes at the previous tournament and placed third, carding round scores of 66, 66, 73 and lead the team to their seventh place finish. He will hold that no. 1 spot going into the Zach Johnson Invitational.
