South Dakota announces 2025-26 indoor slate, home meets

VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, Lucky Huber is pleased to announce the 2025-26 indoor track and field schedule, as well as home meets for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
 
South Dakota will make trips to Missouri, Arkansas, and Nebraska as well competing in meets at home and at SDSU. The Summit League Championships will take place in Grand Forks, North Dakota in February, with the NCAA Indoor Championships set to be ran in Fayetteville, Ark. at the University of Arkansas.
 
South Dakota opens the indoor season on December 5 in Brookings at the SDSU Holiday Open. The Coyotes will be in Brookings two other times during the indoor season, competing at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Meet on Jan. 24 and the SDSU Classic on Feb. 13 and 14.

The Coyotes' indoor home meet, the USD Alumni Meet, is set for Jan. 17 inside the DakotaDome.
 
South Dakota leaves the state for the first time when they compete at the Dr. Rick McGuire Invite in Columbia, Missouri. The following weekend, USD makes its return to the Frank Sevigne Invite on Feb. 6 and 7.

The Yotes make their first of two potential trips to Fayetteville, Ark. on Feb. 13 and 14 at the Tyson Invitational. Coyotes who qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 13 and 14 will make a return to Fayetteville.
 
USD makes a second trip Lincoln for the UNL Last Chance on Feb. 20 before heading north to Grand Forks for the Summit League meet.

Huber and the Coyotes also announced three outdoor home competitions for this spring. The Coyotes will be at home for the USD Early Bird on April 3 and 4. South Dakota will also host the South Dakota Challenge on May 1 and 2 and the USD Twilight on May 8. All three competitions are hosted at the Lillibridge Track Complex.
