Rio Verde, Ariz. — The South Dakota women's golf team opened their spring season this afternoon with the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational, finishing round one with a stroke count of 306.
 
The Coyotes tallied 11 birdies on the day, with sophomore Avery O'Donnell carding four.
 
Teammate Ella Greenberg (So.) leads the Coyotes on the course, currently holding a top-15 position amongst the 104 golfers. Greenberg is tied for 12^th place with a stroke count of 73 (+1).
