Southern Pines, N.C. — Freshman Jack Holtz makes his first appearance for the Coyotes this spring and ties for fourth place overall in a large pool of 100 golfers.
 
Holtz put up very strong round scores of 69, 72, and 70, leaving him (-5) on the course. He also carded a new low round this tournament during round one (-3). In total, Holtz tallied 15 birdies for the Coyotes.
 
Today, Holtz golfed a very clean round of golf, carding six birdies on holes 1, 5, 6, 7, 14, and 15. He came out (-3) on the front nine and finished (-2) for the round.
 
Graduate Senior Max Schmidtke carded his best round in the tournament today with a stroke count of 70 for round three. Schmidtke tallied three birdies for the Yotes and an eagle on hole 3.

As a team, the Coyotes finished in fifth place overall with round scores of 291, 295, 288. The playing field was dense with 20 competing teams, but the Yotes pulled through with the final round ending at (+10) on the course. The Coyotes carded 17 birdies on round three.
