VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – South Dakota's Eerik Haamer picked up his third indoor all-American status of his Coyote career Friday night, placing ninth at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Va.

Haamer missed his first jump of the day, but recovered to clear the opening bar of 17-7 (5.36m) on his second try. He cleared the following height of 17-11 (5.46m) on his second attempt and made it over 18-3 (5.56m) on his third attempt. Going for a personal best at 18-4 ¾ (5.61m), Haamer was unable to clear the bar at that attempt, bowing out in ninth place.
