Yotes Sit In Sixth Place After Day One

Litchfield, Ariz.The South Dakota men's golf team is tied for sixth place with St. Thomas after carding round scores of 287 and 289.
 
Round One
Sophomore Joe Rohlwing and graduate senior Max Schmidtke lead the Coyotes during round one, carding stroke counts of 71. Rohlwing tallied four birdies, while Schmidtke tallied three within the first four holes on the front nine.
 
In total, the Coyotes carded 20 birdies and put up a round score of 287, ending (-1) on the course. Freshman Jack Holtz came out even on the course with a stroke count of 72 and tallied three of the Coyotes birdies.
 
Round Two
Joe Rohlwing (So.) golfs another solid round of golf, putting up a round score of 71. Rohlwing is currently tied for 12th place overall with three other golfers and also carded three of the Coyote's 17 total birdies for round two.
 
Teammate Logan Hamak (Sr.) ends (-2) on the course and puts up a stroke count of 70. Schmidtke is tied for 26th place and carded a round score of 74, while tallying three birdies.
