COLUMBIA, MO. — The South Dakota Coyotes men's golf team finished eighth overall at the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Missouri at The Club at Old Hawthorne. 
 

South Dakota posted a team score of 861 (+21) across the three rounds. The Coyotes opened the tournament strong with a four-under 276 in Monday's first round before carding rounds of 288 (+8) and 297 (+17) to close the event. 

Host Missouri claimed the team title at 7-under, followed by Iowa State (E) and St. Mary's (CA) (+5) to round out the top three in the 19-team field. 

Individually, Jack Holtz led the Coyotes with a five-over 215, finishing 24th overall. Holtz opened the tournament with an impressive 68 (-2) before shooting 72 and 75 over the final two rounds. 

Shoma Taguchi and Cole Witherow each finished tied for 36th at six-over 216. Taguchi posted rounds of 69, 75, and 72, while Witherow carded 70, 72, and 74 during the tournament. 

Joe Rohlwing finished 59th overall with a 10-over 220, highlighted by a 71 in the second round. Parker Etzel rounded out the Coyotes' lineup with a 13-over 223 to place 72nd, opening the tournament with a 69 (-1) in round one. 

The South Dakota men's golf team is back in action on April 20th to take on the Hawkeye Invitational in Riverside, Iowa.
