Hollister, Mo. — The South Dakota women's golf team took over second place after putting up a round score of 295, cutting yesterday's score by 22 strokes.
 
The Coyotes tallied eight birdies as a team and had two golfers, Emma Henningsson (Jr.) and Ava Schroeder (So.), finish negative on the course.

Henningsson started her morning off by carding an eagle on hole No. 1 and followed with two more birdies to finish out the front nine under par (-2). She tallied another birdie through the back nine and finished round two with a stroke count of 71. Henningsson put herself in a top 10 overall position heading into the final day, currently tying for seventh place.
 
Schroeder also had a very strong round of golf today, ending (-1) on the course and tallying three birdies for the Coyotes. Schroeder stayed even with par through the front nine and ended negative on par, concluding the back nine. She carded a birdie on hole 11 to put herself in a second-place position with a stroke count of 71.

Teammates Catie Nekola (Jr.) and Ella Greenberg (So.) sit in the top 20, tying for 14^th and 17^th place overall, respectively. Nekola carded a round two score of 75, while Greenberg carded a steady 78.
