Chadick, Havlickova named All-Summit League

04.17.2025

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- South Dakota women's tennis members Grace Chadick and Bea Havlickova were each named First Team All-Summit League, the league announced on Thursday.

Havlickova, a senior from Louny, Czech Republic, earned first team honors for the third straight season while Chadick, a senior from Edmond, Oklahoma, was named to the first team for the first time in her career.

"I'm glad that the Summit League Coaches have recognized both Bea and Grace for the great seasons they had," head coach Brett Barnett said.

Chadick had one of the best single season in Coyote history according to winning percentage (.815) with a sparkling 22-5 overall record. She went 5-1 in Summit League play and was 15-4 in the dual season.

Her 22 wins this season rank tied for sixth on South Dakota's single season chart while her 57 career wins, in three seasons, six fifth on the all-time charts.

"Grace was very reliable on court over her career and was a difficult matchup for opponents being lefty and having the ability to attack when needed and run down balls and counterpunch," said Barnett.

Havlickova closed out a record breaking Coyote career as the all-time leader in career doubles wins with 61 while finishing second on the all-time charts with 65 career singles wins.

She went 3-2 in Summit League play, playing at No. 1 singles, and was 17-15 overall on the season. She played at No. 1 singles the final three years of her career.

"Bea had a great career for us and I'm so glad she ended with another all-conference award," added Barnett. "Playing at the top of the lineup is not easy and Bea did a great job battling each match and beating some top opponents all year."

Havlickova and Chadick were the only seniors on the South Dakota roster this spring.
