Vermillion, S.D. — Graduate Senior Max Schmidtke has been announced to the Summit Men's Golf All-League First Team, while teammates Joe Rohlwing and Jack Holtz also make the list.
 
Schmidtke has had a very impressive year of golf, pocketing two top-five finishes and three top-10 finishes. Schmidtke's scoring average this season is 72.1 and sits second in the league for lowest.
 
Early in the season at the SIUE Dolenc Invitational (Sep. 9-10), Schmidtke carded his lowest rounds of the season with a 66 (-5) in two consecutive rounds (1 & 2). Schmidtke ended the tournament (-8) on par and tied for third place overall.
 
Sophomore Joe Rohlwing just picked up his first Summit League weekly award and has now been named to the All-League Honorable Mention Team. Rohlwing is tied for third place in the Summit League with a stroke average of 72.5.
 
Rohlwing golfed in 7 of the events this season and pocketed one top-10 finish at the Boilermaker Invitational (Apr. 19-20). He tied for seventh place overall with a new low round score of 69 during rounds one and three.
 
Freshman Jack Holtz is also awarded his first Summit League honor by being named to the All-Freshman Team. Holtz golfed in eight of the events for the Coyotes, where he took home one top-5 and one top-10 finish each.
 
His low round score was marked at the Babygrande Golf Donald Ross Collegiate during round three of the event with a 70. Holtz ended (-5) on the tournament and tied for fourth place overall.
