Coyotes Have Four Named CSC Academic All-District

VERMILLION, S.D. -- South Dakota women's tennis has placed four members onto the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the spring 2025 season.
 
Bea Havlickova, Selena Bird, Sorcha Caves and Amanda de Oliveira were all named to the Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators.
 
Havlickova, a senior, is named for the third time and carries a 3.72 cumulative GPA as a kinesiology and sport management major. She was the No. 1 singles player for the Coyotes for the final three years of her career and finished with 65 career singles wins, second most all-time and a school record 61 career doubles wins.
 
Havlickova, from Louny, Czech Republic, finished with 17 singles wins in 2024-2025 and had at least 17 wins in three of her four seasons. She was a three-time First team All-Summit League selection.
 
Bird, a junior, is named for the second time and owns a 3.75 career GPA as a psychology major. The Miami, Florida, native won 15 singles matches and has 43 career singles win heading into her final season.
 
Caves, a sophomore from Glasgow, Scotland, is named for the first time as is de Oliveira, a native of Caxias de Sul, Brazil. The doubles partners went 5-8 during the dual season playing at No. 1 doubles.
 
Caves is a pre-business major and owns a 3.61 GPA while de Oliveira carries a 3.78 GPA as an exploratory studies major.
 
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA to be considered. Tennis athletes must have participated in 70 percent of an institutions days of competition.
