VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men's basketball head coach Eric Peterson has announced the signing of Jordan Crawford, a transfer from Eastern Kentucky University to the 2025-26 recruiting class.

Crawford appeared in 30 games with 15 starts while averaging 7.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game for EKU last season. Crawford ranked No. 7 in the Atlantic Sun Conference in steals per game, had nine games with multiple steals and had a season high five takeaways against North Florida. He scored a career-high 22 points against West Georgia on 8-of-13 shooting with five 3-pointers on February 13. Crawford knocked down 47 triples last season, with six games with three or more treys on .329 percent shooting from deep.

He spent his first two seasons at College of Charleston and as a redshirt freshman, he played in 32 games while averaging 4.7 points per game in 2023-24. Crawford scored a season-best 13 points at No. 13 Florida Atlantic and was named the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week the following week.

Crawford was one of three finalists for the Charlotte Observer North Carolina Mr. Basketball Award in his senior year at North Mecklenburg High School after averaging 19.8 points per game. He was a third team all-state and first team all-district pick by the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association.

Crawford is the third transfer signed by the Yotes this spring and joins Ethan Kizer, Josiah Dotzler, Vince Buzelis, Uzziah Buntyn and Jesse McIntosh to the 2025-26 recruiting class.
