SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three Coyote women and two Coyote men received Academic all-Summit League honors, announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

On the women's side,
Sara Reifenrath and
Averi Schmeichel received the honor for a third time and
Cassidy Mooneyhan earned her second honor. For the men,
Spencer Buley and
Bennett Schwenn received the honor for a second time in their careers.

Reifenrath holds a 3.98 GPA as a Computer Science major and is receiving her third outdoor all-Academic honor and sixth career all-Academic team. On the track, the Hartington, Neb. native recorded three Summit League titles this season, winning the 200- and 400-meters and anchoring the winning 4x400 relay squad. She also earned all-Summit League honors in the 4x100 relay. Reifenrath advanced to the NCAA West Prelims in the 200 and 400. She reset the school record twice in the 400 at the NCAA West, advancing to the NCAA Championships with a school record 51.91 time.

Schmeichel, a senior from Hartford, S.D., earned her third outdoor all-Academic honor and fourth overall. She holds a 3.91 GPA as a Pre-Nursing student at USD. Schmeichel swept the hurdle races at the Summit League Championships. She also ran on the winning 4x400 relay and on the all-Summit League 4x100 relay squad. Schemeichel ran at the NCAA West First Round in the 100 and 400 hurdles, including placing 13
th in the 400 hurdles. Â

Mooneyhan earned her second outdoor all-Academic team honor and fourth honor overall. A senior from  Pea Ridge, Ark., Mooneyhan has a 4.0 GPA in Psychology. Mooneyhan earned all-Summit League honors in the pole vault by placing third. She also competed in the NCAA West First Round pole vault competition.

Buley, a native of McKinney, Texas, received his second outdoor all-Academic honor as he holds a 4.0 GPA in Sport Marketing & Media. He was the Summit League runner-up in the pole vault and competed at the NCAA West, where he placed 14
th.

Schwenn received his second all-Academic nod as he holds a 4.0 in Pre-Business. A junior from Milbank, S.D., Schwenn placed fourth at the Summit League Championships in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump.

To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale, completed one academic year at their current school, and participated in at least 50% of the team's competitions. Voting is completed by the institutions' sports information directors and facility athletic representatives.
